I LOVE what I do! I am so honored that I get the privilege to teach women around the world how to embrace alternative therapies, such as wellness and yoga so that they may find healing and vitality.
I am beyond fascinated with the power of yoga and wellness practices and how they can heal our body, mind and spirit. I am so excited to share with all of you the knowledge that I have gained!
It's Been a Long but Great Journey....
I Seriously LOVE Yoga!
Yoga has been part of my life for over 20 years. Between practicing and teaching, it not only is a passion but part of my daily lifestyle. I began my journey with yoga long before I became a Physician Assistant in Family Medicine. From an early age, I had known that I wanted to be in a profession where I could help others. Growing up as a child with severe Scoliosis and almost needing surgery, I have learned early on that there is a place for modern medicine. However over the 13 years that I have cared for patients, I’ve seen that there also is a greater need for Eastern medicine and more alternative therapies. I’ve seen first-hand that there is a great disconnect regarding our mind-body connection.
GOING BACK TO BASICS- HYDRATION, SLEEP, MOVEMENT AND BREATHING- CAN BE VERY HEALING
I am have been beyond fascinated with the power of yoga and what it can bring to your body, mind, and spirit. I took a leap of faith and FINALLY became a Registered Yoga Instructor in 2017 through Hilltop Yoga in Lansing, Michigan.
Yoga is a powerful tool for keeping the body strong, the mind calm, and your spirit empowered. For years I have been counseling patients on how to improve their health and it only made sense to start incorporating my love and knowledge of yoga into my medical practice. Recently, I have trained in Chakra Yoga under the amazing Anodea Judith, the Chakra Guru! The Chakras are our energy centers in our body that are dedicated to particular regions of our body and psychological characteristics. For me, that has taken the idea of healing our bodies from within to a whole new level!
My Big Picture Dream is to show that everyone and everyBODY can do Yoga in some way, shape or form.
I believe that Yoga is so therapeutic to our bodies, minds and spirit. When you combine Yoga and other alternative therapies such as meditation, breathwork, affirmations, and self-care, the positive results are astonishing. Frankly, healing our bodies and ourselves doesn't have to be complicated. In fact, we can keep things quite simple!

Most days, you can find me at home, planning my next yoga flow, playing with my pup and two cats, or planning our next trip around the world with my Hubs. You can follow our travels on my Instagram page! We love exploring new places and discovering new cuisines!
