KEEP YOUR LIFELINE HEALTHY

So, I have a question for you...if I was to take a snapshot of how you look reading this right now...would you look like this???

A. Slouched position with hunched shoulders

Or....would you look like this???

B. Tall spine, better posture and shoulders down

Do you see the difference? The top photo shows very typical slouching that is so common. People on their computers, reading books or on their phones, all looking down, shoulders hunched over. You don't even have to be sitting. We are hunched over standing up too! Guess what the above leads to? Poor spine health.

YOUR SPINE IS YOUR LIFELINE!!!!

Our spine connects to our skull, neck, shoulders, ribs, hips and pelvis. See the photo below! Do you see how the spine is the foundation and support system of the body?

Our spinal health affects all of those other regions of the body and vice versa. It is so important as women, who have a much higher risk than men of osteoporosis (LOW BONE DENSITY.) Low bone density puts you at risk for fracturing a bone if you fall. A large place that is affected by low bone density is the spine. YOU DON'T WANT A FRACTURED SPINE!

An alarming statistic of 1 out of every 2 women over the age of 50 will have a broken bone due to poor bone health at some point in their life......WHAT?????

It's true....

We have to start NOW with keeping our spine healthy. The earlier you start, the better protected you are. Any of you 20 and 30 year-olds who are reading this and thinking, "Nah, I'm fine. I don't need worry about this. It's a problem for old people." ABSOLUTELY IT ISN'T!

I'm here to tell you honey that women start losing bone mass around the age of 40. During your 20s and 30s is when you want to build up the strength of your bones, in order to PREVENT bone weakness and depletion. Again, we need to start NOW keeping our spine healthy.

Healthy spine = Healthy Lifeline!

Many of us sit too much, which leads to BACK ISSUES!

PROLONGED SITTNG + LACK OF STRETCHING + WEAK MUSCLES + POOR POSTURE = THE PERFECT EQUATION FOR A WEAK BACK ----> WEAK BONES

So what can help this epidemic of slouching and weak spines??

Why, yoga of course!!!! And don't worry, I got ya!

It is much easier to treat this problem if you have a strong spine while you age.

This is one of the reasons why I wrote my book "THE FOUR PAINS OF HAVING A DESK JOB & HOW TO TREAT THEM. " It is SOOO good for keeping our spine and other bones and joints healthy. In the book I show you 4 VERY EASY PEASY, quick yoga postures that you can do at your desk. Everyone can do them!!! This guide shows you how to strengthen and lengthen our muscles, improve posture, and keep proper alignment in the body. These are postures I do personally EVERYDAY at work.
